Invoice
An invoice is the document that states what a customer owes for a given period, itemising each charge, any discounts and the tax applied.
In a usage-based business an invoice is a derived object, not an authored one. It is the output of applying pricing to recorded usage for a period, which means it can be regenerated and, crucially, explained.
Being able to trace any line back to the events behind it is what turns a billing dispute from a negotiation into a lookup.
