GDPR Cookie Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026

About this policy

GetLago Corp believes in transparency about the collection and use of data. This policy explains how and when GetLago Corp uses cookies and similar technologies on the getlago.com website, including our documentation at getlago.com/docs (the “Sites”). Capitalized terms used in this policy but not defined have the meaning set forth in our Privacy Policy, which also includes additional details about the collection and use of information at GetLago Corp.

Cookies are small text files sent by us to your computer or mobile device. They are unique to your browser. Session cookies last only while your browser is open and are deleted when you close it. Persistent cookies last until you or your browser delete them, or until they expire.

Similar technologies work the same way. The Sites also use your browser’s local storage, and some of our providers use pixels and web beacons. This policy calls all of them cookies.

Does GetLago Corp use cookies?

Yes. GetLago Corp uses session and persistent cookies, browser local storage, and pixels. Some are set by GetLago Corp on getlago.com (first-party cookies). Others are set by our providers, Google Analytics and HubSpot, either on getlago.com or on their own domains (third-party cookies).

Only strictly necessary cookies are set by default. Analytics and marketing cookies are set only after you allow them in our cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

How is GetLago Corp using cookies?

The Sites have no user accounts, so no cookie remembers that you are logged in. Strictly necessary cookies store your cookie choice and let the API playground in our documentation keep the credentials you enter encrypted in your browser.

With your consent, analytics cookies tell us how visitors use the Sites so we can improve them, and marketing cookies tell our sales team which companies visit us and link your visits to the forms you submit. The cookie tables below list every cookie, what it does and how long it lasts.

See the cookie tables for details.

Categories of use

  • Authentication: The Sites have no login. The only related storage is the key the documentation’s API playground uses to encrypt credentials you type into it. It lasts for your browser session.
  • Security: HubSpot uses Cloudflare’s __cf_bm cookie on its own domains to detect bots and malicious traffic. This cookie is set only when HubSpot’s script loads, which requires your marketing consent.
  • Preferences: A cookie remembers your cookie choice, so we don’t ask again on every page. We do not use cookies to remember your language or to fill out forms.
  • Marketing: With your consent, HubSpot records your visits and links them to a form you submit, such as a demo request, so our team knows what you read before contacting us. HubSpot also identifies the company you visit from, based on your IP address. HubSpot calls its cookies analytics cookies. We classify them as marketing because we use them for sales follow-up.
  • Performance, analytics and research: With your consent, Google Analytics 4 counts visits and traffic sources and shows which pages people read, on getlago.com and on our documentation. We use it to measure and improve the Sites. We set Google’s advertising consent signals to denied, so Google Analytics does not use advertising cookies on the Sites.

What third-party cookies does GetLago Corp use?

Our providers and the cookies they set are listed in the cookie tables below. We keep these tables in the same source as our cookie banner, so the banner, the preference center and this page list the same cookies. Providers may change the names or number of their cookies from time to time. We review the tables whenever we add, remove or change a provider.

How are cookies used for advertising purposes?

We do not run advertising on the Sites and do not use cookies for ad targeting or retargeting. Marketing cookies help our sales team understand which companies are interested in Lago, and help us report on the performance of our marketing in aggregate.

What can you do if you don't want cookies to be set or want them to be removed?

You can refuse or delete every cookie that is not strictly necessary. Refusing them does not change how the Sites work. You can open the cookie settings at any time from the footer of every page, or with the link below. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and takes effect immediately: the tools stop, and we delete the cookies they set on getlago.com.

Does GetLago Corp respond to Do Not Track signals?

There is no common standard for how to respond to the browser “Do Not Track” signal, so the Sites do not change their behavior when they receive it. Your cookie choice is what decides which tools run.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where the law recognizes it as an opt-out, such as for visitors from California: when your browser sends it, analytics and marketing cookies stay off.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Sites to work and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to your actions, such as setting your cookie preferences or using the documentation playground. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the Sites will then not work. These cookies do not identify you by name or email address.

Performance cookies

These cookies (GetLago Corp uses Google Analytics) let us count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of the Sites. They show which pages are the most and least popular and how visitors move around the Sites. If you do not allow these cookies, we will not know when you visited the Sites.

Marketing cookies

We use HubSpot, our customer relationship management tool. HubSpot sets cookies that record your visits and identifies the company you visit from, based on your IP address. When you submit a form on the Sites, HubSpot links those visits to the contact details you entered. We use this information to follow up with interested companies and to evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing. HubSpot processes this data on our behalf.

Third-party website cookies

The Sites link to or embed content from other websites, such as YouTube videos, GitHub and our social media pages. Embedded YouTube videos load only when you click play, and YouTube may then set its own cookies. These websites use their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control the cookies other websites set, even when you reach them from the Sites.

How to control and delete cookies

Using your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, usually from the “Settings”, “Privacy” or “Help” menu. Blocking a cookie in your browser does not delete cookies already set. Delete them from your browser too.

Cookies set in the past

When you withdraw consent, we delete the analytics and marketing cookies set on getlago.com and the tools stop collecting. Data collected before you withdrew may still be used. To stop tracking reliably, HubSpot sets a __hs_do_not_track cookie when you withdraw marketing consent.
