Volume pricing
Volume pricing charges every unit consumed at the rate of the single tier the total volume reaches, so crossing a threshold reprices the entire quantity.
A customer who consumes 1,200 units where the tier above 1,000 is priced lower pays the lower rate on all 1,200, not just the last 200.
It rewards scale sharply and can make an invoice fall as usage rises past a boundary, which is worth modelling before you publish the table.
